Mandurah has also been one of Australia’s strongest destinations for internal migration, drawing many households from Perth who are seeking more space, waterfront living and relative affordability. That matters for GPs: local referral pathways exist, but specialist cover is thinner than in central Perth, so general practice here often involves a broader scope of work and a more visible role in the community.

 

Lifestyle is Mandurah’s clearest advantage. The city sits between the Indian Ocean and the Peel-Harvey Estuary, with canals, beaches, walking trails, boating and a waterfront café culture that few outer-metro locations can match.
